Porsche East London

2-day Porsche event held on Monday and Wednesday at the Royal Docks East London Garage:

The evening was for Porsche members, featuring welcoming drinks, canapés, and client interactions with a professional DJ playing in the background at a comfortable volume.

Speakers were set up on tripods, with staging after covering one speaker feed cable.

The professional DJ feed and two professional UHF microphones were connected to a 6-channel mixer, which output to speakers one and two, with a third speaker feed line out from speaker number two.

Numerous reels of gaffer tape were utilised to secure and conceal loose cables on the floor (health and safety considerations). Lastly, all loose cables were taped to the tripods to keep the hired PA system presentable.

Two microphones were required for the interviewer and interviewee, while the audience also responded to a panel of questions using another wireless microphone that was passed around.

All sound was continuously adjusted and balanced for each speaker as they spoke to maintain a consistent volume.

Four 120-watt wireless uplighters were added to enhance the bar area with a pink hue.

Background music included relaxed chill-out Hed Kandi and soul funk genres played at the beginning and end of the event. 

We have been regular suppliers for Porsche events since early 2019. We understand the specific sound limitations and acoustics of car showrooms among many other types of venues. This type of PA system for speeches and panel guest questions, along with background music, requires the correct configurations of bass and treble to avoid echoing sounds and to ensure proper sound dispersion throughout these large venue spaces.
