This is the third event we are playing for the Marketing Effective Awards afterparty. The companies at this gala are primarily the leading firms that market globally and throughout the UK.

The guests are a very fun group to play for at the Grand Connaught rooms gala. The main event of the dinner, a black-tie ball, starts at seven and runs until nine, leading into an award ceremony managed by AV Projections. AV Projections is the company that has asked us to DJ the afterparty and provides all the sound and lighting tech for the entire show.

AV Projections is one of London’s top AV companies and holds contracts with many large hotels, such as The Grand Connaught Rooms. 

Once the award ceremony finishes, the guests make their way from the main room to the bar room where the DJ is plugged into a separate sound system, and the guests party from ten until one AM.

The DJ runs through an entire open format set, featuring songs from Queen, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Human League, and Frank Sinatra. There is a photo booth in the room as well, but the main aspect of the evening is the music and the guests dancing.

AV Projections also provides 8 to 12 moving heads to enhance the event’s visuals. All aspects are managed by skilled sound and light technicians who ensure everything runs smoothly during speeches.
