You are sure to enjoy getting ready for parties wants Simon Copeland has launched his 2016 collection. Cocoa will release a range of bespoke occasions where at ladies fashion lunch in aid of Mencap the U.K.’s leading charity for people with learning disabilities. Fittingly the sumptuous ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel will be the setting for this event where guests can see pieces from the designer his previous clients include members of the royal family. Expect a gorgeous selection of clothes that catered to the forthcoming season from Henley to Royal escort as well as a special on symbol created exclusively to honour Mencap’s 70th anniversary.

Our side: 

On the day arrive at 8 am to set up by 9.30-10 am. All designers and event contractors had to arrive by taxi due to the venue’s only access was front by where there was only red route parking. All other deliveries for regular contractors had been occupied at the venue (therefore additional taxi fares had to be added to the job price). This was determined at the site visit with Simon six weeks prior to the event. 

Set up the process: Two-stage lights by where the venue had provided. DJ decks, two x QSC PA 1000watt speakers and pair of Shure PG wireless microphones to channel mixer connected around the stage to front face guests sitting down.

Ready by 9.45 to start two dress rehearsals for 90mins. Guests arrived at reception from 12.30.

Music for the event: Guest entering room smooth classical. For the fashion show, as Simon knew the DJ he requested to have a free flow of the DJs selection. So long as he provided upbeat commercial 80s to current charts for the 30mins show. Low volume smooth classical jazz playlist over the lunch.
